3 Tips That Help You Shine Like the Star You Are

3 Tips That Help You Shine Like the Star You Are

People don’t like talking about how great they are.

It’s uncomfortable and unnecessary.

Wrong. It doesn’t work this way.

Only after they have purchased your product or service can they truly experience its quality. They won’t buy anything if they aren’t sure it will be worthwhile.

It is important to show your customers the value of your product or service.

This is something that most people find difficult and unpleasing, especially women.

It can be a feeling of boasting. It’s not.

You don’t need to brag about your achievements or erect yourself.

You don’t need to be bigger than yourself – but you also don’t need to be smaller than yourself!

Show people your REAL self – your talents, gifts, and the value that you offer.

These three tips will help you get there:

Tip #1: Be aware of your strengths and weaknesses.

What is your special talent? What are you really good at? What are you able to bring to the table that others lack?

You will get a clear picture of all your strengths, qualities and gifts.

Make a list. Before you can share your talents, it is important to identify what you are good at.

Tip #2: Own your talents and gifts

You already know what you are good at deep down. You must first own it before you can confidently speak of it.

Appreciate your qualities. Recognize them. They are important. OWN them.

It is important to have a clear view of yourself and all the things you are good at. This will help you accept your strengths and embrace them.

Tip #3: Learn how to accept compliments.

What should you do when someone compliments you on a job well done? Are you able to accept compliments and graciously say “Thank you”?

Or do you tell them immediately that it wasn’t so special and that you couldn’t have achieved it without the help of others and some good luck?

Accept and receive compliments. This will make you feel more confident about yourself, and it will help you to embrace and own your talents.

You may discover talents that you never knew you had.

Bonus tip: Pay attention to how you speak and think about yourself.

How do you talk to yourself? Negative? Harsh? Respectful? Friendly? Loving? Judgmental?

Here are some things to consider:

Would you be willing to accept that your best friend spoke to you in the same way you speak to yourself?

Or, would you tell her that she should go on a hike and not bother returning?

Are you able to talk to yourself the same way as you speak to the people you most love?

If you don’t, it’s high time to change your self-talk.

It will increase your confidence. It makes it easier for you to communicate clearly and authentically about your business and yourself.
