Have you noticed that certain women get extremely over other women having babies?
When they learn that their friend is expecting and they begin planning their shower, dreaming of games and colours and gathering as many details as they can so that the mother-to-be can be assured that she is loved and everyone is delighted that she is giving birth to the world.
I experience the same feeling when someone, particularly female, says that she’s planning to launch a new company.
If she says to me, “I’ve decided to begin working as a freelancer”, It’s as if she’s telling her, “We’ve taken the decision to begin making an effort!”
I love small businesses so much that I need to pop the champagne every time anyone else around me has the flu.
I frequently get carried away with my thoughts about them, the launch logos, their marketing plans and expansion strategies, and how they structure their process… You can think of it. I have been stopped in mid-sentence many times. But I just get so darn excited. I can’t stop myself.
I’ll inform you..it’s an illness!
I was a small-business owner prior to becoming a mom. When I thought about business and babies and babies, I realized they have a lot in common:
1.) They both keep you awake in the night
just like a baby who requires attention and care from its exhausted, caring mother. A new venture that stirs your inside will make you awake at 2 am with ideas for every part of the. It doesn’t matter if you’re exhausted!
It will require you to take care of every single detail and will force you to plan and organize each one of them.
You’ll dream of the kind of bathroom in your office experience you would like your customers and employees to experience. (yes… that’s!)
Your signature will appear while you are sleeping. You’ll think of pitch concepts and taglines every day. You’ll imagine what your customers are going to have to say regarding doing business with your company.
You’ll be in love, thrilled and full of enthusiasm. Then, months will pass, and it’s when you realize that you’ve only been sleeping three hours per night for ten days. You won’t even notice!
This is exactly what the first drive is like. These special moments with your baby in the quiet of the night are memorable because of the reason. When both businesses and babies are brand new, they bring off energy that seems to be endless such as we haven’t experienced in any other moment or in any other way.
I am awestruck by this aspect of innovation and believe that’s why I enjoy working with entrepreneurs at the beginning of their business… I suppose I am their “entrepreneurial midwife”. I am awed by the excitement of newness. The enthusiasm that people feel can bring out something gorgeous and hopeful in the people. They are seen in the purest of ways because you are able to see their dreams. It’s beautiful and amazing. It’s also the desire to look after everything from the beginning that is also unique.
2.) They alter your life in a flash.
However, it’s positive You’ll no longer be out late… lesser time to spend with your old pals (qualifier added”old”). You’ve got someone to take you back home too!
I can remember being a partying rebel in the days prior to when things changed. It was simple for me to stay for the whole day doing as little as I wanted and finish the night with all sorts of entertainment until dawn.
Things changed, and it was for the most favourable.
Like going out, it’s more difficult because you can’t get away from that gorgeous baby face and those yummy toes and fingers (and the infant’s wacky antics are more entertaining than anything I’ve seen). A new venture can dominate your social life. In most cases, it’s positive.
You begin to experience the sensation of fifteen minutes..in other words, and time becomes valuable as you become more conscious of it. You are able to sense it. As a result, you’ll become more efficient and focused since you don’t want to lose a minute. These moments are precious and, as a result, you will be less likely to delay your work.
Oh, and when you watch the first steps (launch an innovative product) or speak its initial words (marketing as the initial time that prospects actually communicate) and all the productivity results are promising, you’re thrilled to know to have changed your life by this method. (Let’s not even mention the first time you poop or the moment when your first customer is willing to pay you money!)
Here’s the primary reason this is best for you when you realize how productive you’re becoming, You will want to increase your productivity. There is nothing you want to do to hinder your progress. Are you aware of what is this? It’s a sign that you are beginning to protect not only the time you spend but your influence bubble.
Your “bubble of influence”, or the people that you like to hang out with, will transform into a community that helps you become more successful (parent as well as the business proprietor). You’ll only desire to be with people who support your new lifestyle, and you’ll begin to recognize people who support those who are always negative and questioning your every step.
The “old” friends start talking about how they haven’t seen you in a while and how you’ve changed, and that they don’t recognize you anymore.
They’re right… They don’t. In terms of Martha Stewart, it’s a positive thing!
This is the best lifestyle for the benefit of your children and for the growth of your business! Being more mindful of your space and time allows everything good in your life to expand.
3.) They make you think about your future in a manner that you’ve never thought about before.
I was a happy girl in my life before becoming a mom and had a lot of fun. I also lived my life in an unpretentious manner prior to embarking on the first business. I didn’t have to worry about how my actions affected others’ lives or if I had a day off, it was my right and so on. My future would be an extension of my present.
Perhaps the setting or backdrop could be altered. Perhaps some of the actors will emerge in the film My Life or its follow-up post-trauma films.
However, my future, even though I’ve always had dreams, was not really in place until I was known as a poker “all in”.
It wasn’t as if it was impossible to be. A lot of people I know who’ve decided to never have kids are opting to live a life that is destined towards a life of excellence and influence.
This will be their baby, and only true plans and success in achieving their goals will get them there, together with the right support, focus and efficiency.
That’s the reality Ideas, and hopes are quite different from real plans and goals.
It is a shame that there are so many “want to be but not enough courageous individuals who take the initiative and determine the future they want to consist of. There is a profound shift of trust that can’t be denied when a person is fully committed.
The moment you enter the world of motherhood and the emergence of entrepreneurship (the REAL entrance, not the fake ‘I’d like to be a parent someday thing), you will view your future in a different way.
Dreams and ideas are your personal coach; you the inner voice of your guidance and project manager. It’s not just a matter of passing the time. Time is your boss, and you are in charge of the list of things you’ve drawn out on your plan specifically for the year and the month and the week.
Things are completed.
If you can keep doing everything you set out to accomplish, no matter how large or small, you get convinced that anything you desire is within reach.
You start to want to know more… And you start dreaming more. You meet with friends to discuss ideas and dreams that turn into projects… And then, you find yourself thinking:
If I set the target of (insert your personal ‘good-money’ goal) in terms of sales per year, I could accomplish (fill into the empty space) as well (fill in a blank) and (fill in a huge white space)! This is a possibility! It is time to get ready for this because the way I’m going around, this is bound to turn out to be true… wow.’
Take a moment to pause for a second and take a look at the significance of this new way of thinking. From that would be great if it was to happen, but this is going to happen, and it seems like it’s on its way towards me.’
That’s huge.
When a baby begins to comprehend things, connect concepts and actually learn about things at first your own eye, it’s not only adorable. It’s proof of developmental levels. It is crucial to see if your child is making connections… for the future.
Your future is their future.
This is the reason that those things that you envision as your future must happen, and you are so certain they will. Your future will be many more things than it did prior to you making the Big Change, things you didn’t think about in your life prior to it was the Big Change. You love the present but are eager to look forward to the future with all the exciting new concepts and ideas, advancements and changes that will make your life better.
More difficult, but definitely sweeter!
Business and baby products are created by humans that are able to grow for anyone willing to be a part of them.
